About Studio 4
Part of the legendary Lava Room Recording complex established in 2003, Studio 4 offers a private, world-class production suite refurbished for the modern independent artist and producer.
The Control Room
At the heart of Studio 4 is the Avid Icon 24-Channel D-Command ES console. Paired with Pro Tools HDX and Lynx Aurora converters, this room is built for speed and sonic purity. We employ a "best of both worlds" approach: total digital recall with the weight and depth of analog summing through a Dangerous Music 2-Bus+.
The Live Room
Our tracking space is designed for tight, punchy recordings. Perfect for vocals, guitars, and overdubs, it features widely variable acoustics to suit the source. From the warmth of our Neumann U87 to the character of our Lawson 251, every capture is high-fidelity.
